- Top-down: the drilling is completed from the top and continues down through the surface that is being cut
- Bottom-up: the drilling is completed from the underneath or bottom of the slab and continues up through the surface that is being cut

Diamond drilling is used to create core holes through building fabrics both inside and outside. Hole diameter sizes vary from 6mm up to 1000mm. Increased hole depth can be achieved by using extension rods on the drill bits.
Diamond drilling can be completed in wet and dry form. However, water is generally used to keep the area dust free and aid the speed of the core drilling process.
Core holes can be diamond drilled exactly alongside each other so that the holes interlink, creating whole openings in any required shape through walls or floors e.g. to make a route through such as a doorway.
These four systems are completed by an operative using hand held sawing equipment which has diamond impregnated saws. A skilled operator uses the equipment to hand saw straight lines and cut clean corners in floors and walls where required.
The cutting apparatus is quick to set up, easy to operate and highly versatile in the scope of openings and cuts that can be achieved for the customer.
Floor sawing is used where the depths are too deep or distances too long to be cut by hand. Our floor saws are self-propelled and operated by highly skilled operatives.
They are powered by diesel or petrol for external use, and powered by a 3 phase electricity supply for internal use.
The floor saws are fitted with blades that are suited for cutting both concrete and asphalt and are capable of cutting to a depth of 600mm.
Track mounted saws are used to cut clean straight lines and corners, where 'over cutting' is permitted.
Where over cutting is not permitted, our operatives will stitch drill the corners.
The track is set up parallel to the cut line to achieve the straight edge, and flush cutting can also be achieved where another wall or adjacent surface is present.
Track sawing is generally used to create openings in walls via vertical cutting and floors via horizontal cutting. Track sawing can cut to a maximum depth of 750mm.
